New Zealand Face Bangladesh in the First ODI game of their ICC Cricket World Cup Super League Campaign

19 March 2021by Samuel Salimon

New Zealand starts their ICC Cricket World Cup Super League campaign today against Bangladesh. It is the initial step for the Black Caps to qualify for the following Men’s World Cup in 2023.

New Zealand coach Gary Stead believes about 30 players are hoping to get a spot on the team and whittle down the list of players for the World Cup, which won’t be an easy job for him.

He’s also aware that this is not a bad problem to have as the team pursue their first men’s World Cup trophy.

New Zealand will be without Captain Kane Williamson (elbow) and Ross Taylor (hamstring) in the series’s first ODI match.

This means that there are spots to fill by Devon Conway, Will Young and Daryl Mitchell, among others.

We hope that this match gets the best out of both teams.

Our prediction: New Zealand is our favourite to win this game.
